DOES IT MATTER IF I'M A BEGINNER?
MSU Outdoors Club is for outdoors enthusiasts of all experience levels! If you've never gone camping before, or you're an experienced backpacker, this club is for you!
A link to the waiver can be found on the home page, or you can ask an e-board member at a meeting! All we need is your first and last name, as well as your university email. Waivers last for 2 years!
ARE DUES REFUNDABLE?
At this time all dues payments are final and there are no membership refunds available.
HOW MUCH ARE DUES?
$25 one time for Fall and Spring semesters.
HOW DO I JOIN?
Come to one of our meetings! They are free to attend, but you must pay dues and sign a liability waiver before being eligible for participation in club trips and events.
WHERE CAN I SIGN A LIABILITY WAIVER?
WHAT DOES BECOMING A MEMBER GET ME?
You gain eligibility for all club trips and events, as well as access to our Gear Room! You are able to rent any gear from our Gear Room for both Outdoors Club trips or even personal uses, so long as you return your gear promptly, and ensure it's properly taken care of and returned clean.
WHAT IF I HAVE MY OWN GEAR?
We highly encourage you to use your own gear on Outdoors Club trips! It lessons the load on our Gear Room and ensures more gear is available to those who need it.
IF I'M NOT READY TO COMMIT, HOW CAN I STAY IN TOUCH?
You can join our GroupMe (link can be found on the home page), sign up for our mailing list (see an e-board member at a meeting), and follow us on social media! Currently, we are on Instagram @msuoutdoors.
IF I CAN'T MAKE IT TO MEETINGS, CAN I STILL JOIN? CAN I JOIN HALFWAY THROUGH THE SEMESTER?
Yes and yes! Meetings are not mandatory to attend, so you can still join even if attending meetings is a challenge, or if we're partway through a semester. We understand that everyone has important things going on, and their own schedules.
